New Monday Morning Int./Adv. Ballet Class!

Many of you have asked and now it's here: Beginning Monday, February 22nd, BCA will offer an int./adv. (black level) ballet class from 10am to noon. Please spread the word to qualified dancers, including home-schoolers. We'd like at least a handful of dancers for the class. The class includes pointe and is taught by Wayne. See you there!

Monday Tap Classes Meeting Earlier!

Good news! BCA's Monday tap classes with Joani are meeting 1/2 hour earlier: Int./Adv. tap will now meet from 6:00-7:00 and 13+/Adult tap will meet from 7:00-8:00. Enjoy!

Spring Break Workshop April 5th to 9th!

Looking for a great dance activity over Spring Break? Then check out BCA's Spring Break Workshop April 5th through 9th. The workshop will consist of ballet and jazz combo classes for two age groups: 5 to 7 year olds and 8 to 10 year olds. The classes will run from 9am to noon each day and no experience is necessary! Just sign up at the Front Desk. See you over Spring Break!

Great news! It's not too early to sign-up for BCA's wildly popular Summer Dance Workshops. These summer workshops bring classic stories alive through dance. Plus, lucky participants explore the wonders of famous ballets through movement lessons, arts & crafts, and fabulous music. And in addition to ballet classes, BCA's Summer Dance Workshops will also include lessons in jazz and modern! These workshops are perfect for any child between the ages of 5 and 10 and no experience in dance is necessary. But don't wait: These workshops are also famous for filling up fast. Summer Ballet Classes for Children June 21 to July 30!

With summer 2010 right around the corner, it's not too early to start planning your child's ballet classes. That's why BCA is already enrolling dancers in its 6 week children's ballet classes June 21 to July 30. No experience is necessary. Just sign-up at the Front Desk!

Angie Adds New Saturday Ballet Class for 5 to 6 year Olds

Due to huge demand, Angie is adding a Saturday ballet class for 5 to 6 year olds! The class will meet from 9:45 to 10:30 and will begin January 16th. Space is limited so if you're interested, sign up ASAP. And if you'd like more info, give us a buzz at 828-255-5777 or drop by the front desk.

Class Changes: Int. Ballet Added on Fridays ... Friday Int./Adv. Ballet Time Change ... Adult Ballet Moved to Wednesdays

==> A third class of Int. Ballet for 10 to 12 year olds has been added on Fridays from 5:00 to 6:30. The class will consist of 1 ½ hour of technique class. The class is by invitation only and will be taught by Wayne.

==> Friday Int./Adv. Ballet for 13 year olds and up has been changed to 6:30 from 5:00. The class will consist of 1 ½ hour of technique class and ½ hour of pointe. The class is by invitation only and will be taught by Wayne.

==> Adult Ballet has moved from Fridays at 7:00 to Wednesdays at 7:00. The class is an hour long and is taught by Angie.

"Dancing on Pointe at BCA" Handout Is Now Available

Interested in pointe dancing at BCA? Then make sure to check our BCA's new pointe handout: "Dancing on Pointe at BCA." It tells you about the requirements for pointe class and your first pointe shoe fitting. Plus, it has useful links to pointe shoe videos and a helpful FAQ. This policy is effective 10-1-09.

Class Pianist for Wayne's Saturday 1:30- 3:30 Ballet and Pointe Class

Angie and Wayne grew up with class pianists. But over the years they've become rare indeed. And as wonderful as recorded ballet class music is, there's nothing like having a genuine ballet class pianist!

That's why we're delighted to announce that Wayne's Saturday 1:30- 3:30 Ballet and Pointe Class will include a ballet class pianist. We're finalizing talks right now and we'll let you know ASAP when our new pianist will begin.

Unlimited Class Rate Set At $225 Per Month

The rate for unlimited classes for the 2009-2010 season is now set at $225 per month. That means you can take all the classes you want for one low monthly payment. This is an ideal setup for dancers in the pre-professional program. more
